My name is Sierra Lackey! My family and I live in Abilene, Texas. My husband is a high school math teacher and football coach and we have 2 amazing daughters, Adelynn and Brooklynn and an adorable son, Levi.
I have always loved photography and had an eye for design. In high school I really found a love for photography and enjoyed learning my way around a camera and a darkroom. This really created my love for black and whites! During my time at Abilene Christian University- Go Wildcats!- I began to take my photography to a new level. Since then I have pursued photography professionally. I have worked with a tenured photographer for several years and have learned so much from following her and her business!
I photograph anything from portraits, seniors, families, maternity, engagement sittings to weddings & events! My personal favorites are Family sittings! I love capturing the pure moments of family fun!
Photos have always been so important to me and I save every moment I can. I am one of those people who fills up every iPhone with 98% photos and will delete texts and apps long before I even think about deleting a duplicate photo!
When I started dating (my now husband) one of the first things I noticed was his family didn’t have many photos hung in their house. Shocked, I immediately tried to round up his large family for a photo session. Time goes by so fast and families change so quickly.
If you can give me 15 minutes of your time I promise you will have amazing photos that will last forever and document that stage in your family’s life.

As a photographer who uses natural light, I focus on using sunlight to create authentic and captivating images. I believe that natural light brings a unique beauty to photos without needing artificial help. I pay attention to the time of day and the light quality when I'm shooting. Morning and afternoon sunlight gives a warm glow, while noon light adds bright contrasts.
When editing, I aim to keep the original light and mood of the photo. I make minimal adjustments to enhance natural elements like exposure, shadows, highlights, and colors. My goal is to maintain the authenticity of the scene without heavy modifications.
I strive to create genuine images that are connected to their surroundings by working with natural light and keeping editing simple. My intention is to capture moments that evoke emotions and a sense of place.
